Coney Island People These images are a small segment of an ongoing project documenting a discrete portion of the Coney Island (NY) boardwalk, and the people on it. It is my personal, idiosyncratic effort to preserve what makes the boardwalk so unique to those who live there, in contrast to the tourists who come to be part of the honky tonk sensationalism that they perceive to be Coney Island. These are the daily denizens. For them, the boardwalk is a way of life, their community. I hover on the periphery, a voyeur with my camera.
