Melanie Jenkins, a photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand, embarked on her photographic journey in a time-honored fashion. Her career commenced with formal education in photography at Unitec, where she delved into the nuances of shooting film and the craftsmanship of developing her own black and white images. Following her academic pursuits, she dedicated several years to assisting seasoned commercial photographers. 

In the year 2000, Melanie achieved a significant milestone by establishing her very own photography studio. Her initial foray into the professional realm led her to freelance work for creative professionals within the magazine industry, ultimately opening doors to collaborations with advertising agencies and design studios.
